Which movie of 2007 will be more sucessful? Many people believe it will be SpiderMan 3 and I think it will be when it is first released but as soon as Pirates 3 is realized it will be number 1. What do u think?

I love both movies, so this is difficult for me to say. however, i believe that it would be Pirates 3. I think so because this movie has fewer (however little the 'fewer' is) expectations. i mean, yes, it has to be a good movie, but there is no book about it that it has to live up to. whereas spiderman has a much bigger potential to disappoint. i mean, theres the fact that the actors might not live up to their characters. and then theres the fact that fans everywhere already know the story. they know whats going to happen, and if the movie deviates too much from the original story, fans will get angry, and tell their friends not to see it.
with that being said, sometimes a movie that sucks gets even more viewers, because people have heard so much about the suckiness, they want to see it for themselves.
plus, the romance in pirates has been complicated by elizabeth's kiss for cptn jack, and so many want to see what happens. whereas, the fun is gone for the spiderman romance because m.j. knows that spiderman is peter. i mean, we all wanted it to happen, but now that it has, theres nothing left to want. despite the fact that they are supposed to have problems in the third movie.

I think it will be Spiderman 3.
1. Spiderman 2 received better reviews than Pirates 2.
2. Spiderman 2 was a lot earlier than Pirates 2, so people will expect better for the longer production time.

Spiderman 3 will beat Pirates out by a slim margin. Have you seen spiderman 3 trailer it looks awesome. They both should make 300 million. The number one reason spiderman 3 will do better is VENOM

Anyhoo Spiderman 3 will prolly out do Pirates by about 50 million dollars.
only reason why pirates sold so much was ther was nothin else good playin in theaters this year.

You CAN'T force people to choose between such great blockbuster hits for 07. I mean c'mon - you've got great movies like :
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Spiderman 3
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Transformers the Movie (live action)
Ghost Rider (Marvel Comics)
Hostel 2
You've got great movies across a whole number of different genres - it's just not fair to ask someone to pick the best one.......
