Have you downloaded IE7? And did this start happening at the same time? I had trouble with my ISP when I downloaded IE7. I have since did an upgrade to my isp and will try IE7 again. It just sounds like you may have a software conflict and IE7 is software too.
You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

Follow the instructions carefully...

Download HijackThis from the link below. Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\HJT\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet....

the most probable cause is browser compatibility. Try using the latest version of Mozilla firefox
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

the other thing may be that u have very slow net connection, ( u have dial-up or broadband?)

Please award points if you like it.

Not enough detail to answer your question. Is this a one time occurrence? Can you access everything except hotmail?
