Ok..It's simple, cause i'm confused a little.

Is sterling silver the kind of metal a ring is made out of that will like, fade on your finger and give you what I call "The Green Finger"? Like how it leaves a circle of green around the area..

I seen a ring I really wanted, and I just didn't know exactly what sterling silver meant..

Rings that leave a green ring are made of cheap alloys. Sterling Silver is a good quality of silver and will not do that. Usually, there are copper alloys in jewelry that turn people green, even if the ring appears to be silver or gold.

Sterling silver is a good quality metal, like fancy folks have tea sets and silverware made with... and won't turn you green. You will have to polish it to keep it shiny, but the more you wear it, the less you have to polish it. The place you buy is may give you a little buffer rag with your purchase. You don't have to put any liquid or chemicals on those rags to shine up your silver very nicely.
