Go to the local grocery store and pick up alum in the spice section. Wet your finger and pick up some then put it on the cold sore It taste horrible and kinda hurts but works great. It will go away fast if you repeat this a couple times a day.

you need to first don't let anyone drink out of your cup or anything where it can contaminate other people, just to be on the safe side. secondly, they have over the counter ailments to treat cold sores. try abreva. but if it doesn't start clearing up, then you might want to go to the doctors because it could be something else... i don't know.. but get that nipped in the bud quickly.

home remedies - put white toothpaste on it or get teatree oil and put that on it....it takes about a week to dry up, then it forms a scab and faals off.....whatever you do - do not lick it or moisten it.
i know its sick but there's nothing you can do about it.
