average women usually gain 25-35 pounds the whole pregnancy. I know the last 4 weeks of pregnancy the baby gains at least one pound each week so thats 4 right there.

my first pregnancy, i gained 68 pounds. most within the last trimester. Only because of my lack of will power toward toward cravings mind you. I think it is normal to gain 30 pounds. Figure the baby is probably for your sake 7 or 8, then all the fluid and your sac. If you feel you are gaining too much, switch to healthier snacks. Maybe you have twins? Just a bit of advice, the weight doesn't come off as easily with your second child. Good luck to you and God bless you both.

Sounds like your gaining just like you are supposed to. During my last month of pregnancy, I actually lost 2lbs. My son came at 36wks, but morning sickness returned at about 32wks, so I lost weight. I gained a total of 38lbs during my entire pregnancy...which was still normal because I started out underweight.
