I was wondering if students usually need a math credit for a communications major (public relations, media).. if so what and how many?

well it depends on the core curriculum at your school. I know for me, as an english major with comm as a minor i only had to take 3hrs of it which i did with college algebra. I was a pre-mass comm major for a while and it only required 3hrs too so it is pretty common that you would need a credit in a math course. hope this helps! good luck in school!

Most universities require at least College Algebra or an equivalent course for any major. Beyond that, I doubt you need any math for mass communications.

Yes, but you do not need as much math as most majors the big reason my son transferred to communications was the math.
