Don't buy systems at launch!
Wait six months; the cost will go down, better games will come out, and launch build defects will be fixed. Don't fall for the hype, follow the six month rule and gaming will be cheaper and stress free.

The question you should be asking is "when will the next shipment of PS3's that I can buy arrive?" ...because the PS3's are reserved out until next year. I've heard another shipment will arrive before Christmas--but that shipment is to fill the reserves that weren't filled during the initial launch...and who knows when the next one will be after that and how many more reserves will still need to be filled. I wouldn't plan on being able to get one until early spring, if even then.

I've heard answers from everything from tmrw to March '07, but I would think that Sony would try to get as many PS3's as they could for the big holiday rush. The Sony President for Canada apparently confirmed that they had recieved PS3's as of Monday and would ship them directly to retailers instead of to the Sony Warehouse, so you possibly could see a huge black Friday rush 4 the Ps3 which would be awesome. Hoped this helped!

I heard that around Dec. 20. additionally, that they gained't be "reachable" till around the 2d quarter of 2007. i do now not think Sony had a "significant subject" that brought about the super help in first shipments. it particularly is referred to as "hype", and sony performed into it as all of us knew they'd. Screw Sony, and Screw the funds hungry human beings advertising them on E-bay for triple their fee, stealing them from actual game enthusiasts.

I garentee if you get the PS3 you will have problems. Look what happend to the 360. If I was you I would play it safe because that machine is pretty expensive. Do what you want.
