Router help?

i just got signed up with vonage on Tuesday and every thing went fine. but i needed to forward some ports it worked fine for a couple of days. but now i am losing almost 3megs in download speed. but i get it back if i unplug my router and just run my modem. i'm at a loss here i have reset the router and the same thing it ran fine and after a few hours my net got really slow agian. if it were my ports i fowared then it would be slow from the getgo what could this be

The Vonage routers use QoS (Quality of Service) to manage speeds of the various services in order to optimize for VoIP. You can tweak them a bit in the web configurator but it will effect your VoIP calling.
