I thought the white sox were going to get Soriano. Are they crying because the better team in Chicago got him?

Piniella and Soriano are wonderful additions. 2007 is the year of the Cubs.

lol, actually im glad the cubs got soriano. now they actually have a lineup that can do some damage. hopefully they can have a similar record to the sox this year instead of being the worst team in mlb. what they really need is to become a team, work together, all under one great manager. this year the cubs have a shot at something.

Now that the Yankee fans have put A-Rod in his place. Soriano has become the "most over-rated player" in baseball. Good luck to the Cubbies. Pinella will help.

Georgie, with all due respect, there is a team in Minnesota that has two frightening pitchers, a catcher who hits for average and a pretty decent hitting first baseman that the Tigers have to watch out for.

Y'know, it's rare that anyone even tries to argue that a team (in this case, the Cubs) with the worst record in their league is "better" than anyone.

white sox were interested but were never going to get him, all their money is locked up in their pitching staff. most likely they'll get Gary Matthews Jr. or Dave Roberts for the top of the order presence they want to replace podsednik.

One loser deserves another....... Not a big Soriano fan, so the Cubs deserve what they get in him.......
