First of all, congratulations about the baby; even though you are very young to become a parent; you do sound as if you are trying to be responsible.
Please be responsible enough to use birth control from now on. You really don't want to have the responsibility of several more children before you are twenty years old.
Although the military can be a wonderful career and it is also admirable to serve your country, your chances of being severely injured or killed are very high at this time in history. There is even talk of the draft being reinstated due to all the world conflict that the United States is involved in.
I do not believe that you can enter the military at your age, so you will need to find a job for now to help with all the expenses of a baby and everything your girlfriend will need at this time. You can go to your local recruiting office to get all the details, and then you can spend some more time considering a military career and all that it entails.
God bless you and help you all three of you. Have a good night.

My hat off to you for wanting to provide for your baby. Here is some food for thought... if you are 16 you may be allowed to "sign up" for the military but can't be shipped off until you are 18. If you remember from biology class, babies take 9 months not two years to develop in the womb-so guess what, you will be able to see your baby before you ship off.
From the looks of your grammar and spelling, I don't see college in the near future so the military might be your best bet for an income (by the way-military doesn't pay much but they do supply housing for families). Hopefully by then the war will be over and you won't have to worry about being killed in action.
My best advice...Do your homework, study, get better grades and try to go to college. The military will make you take a test and make sure you aren't a complete moron. They won't enlist anyone if they can't write a coherent sentence.

That is good that you want to be there for your family and to support them. Your parents can sign you into the military (and you are allowed to back out any time before you leave for basic... at least my friend was allowed to at 17). However, it is up to you to make the best decision for yourself and your family. There are options out there, and if your girlfriend is 18, you can apply for living assistance (welfare, foodstamps, medicaid, etc.) Look into what is available...

Allright.
You're 16. you cannot go to the military because you are 16. that's two years away. or, your parents can sign and let you go to the military. or, she could could abort the fetus. no arguements. neither of you are mature enough to bring a child into this existence. neither of you have lived, have gained enough experience to be able to raise a child, yet.
