it's hard to tell where your whistling is coming from. this could be another water draw in the house causing it. If the water is off, there is no movement and it should not be whistling.

It might sound odd but you may have trouble with the float valve in your toilet. When your showering the pressure drops and the valve unseats. Then you turn off the water, the pressure rises and the valve tries to re-close against the pressure and makes noise until it does. Try this. During the day, run the shower for a while then turn it off to cause the whistle. Then remove the top of the tank of the toilet. Pull up gently on the horizontal rod that has the float attached to it. If the noise stops, you've found the culprit. The valve assembly can be adjusted with the screw on top. If that doesn't work, they're easy and cheap (>$10) to replace. Any home center or hardware store has them.

Teach them the song, then they won't have to whistle. It is pretty strange they whistle after you stop, and not while the water is running. Usually it would be the other way around. You could try cutting the flow back slowly as you finish showering.
