UCAS didn't mention anything specific to American students and I was just wondering. All of the universities say that I have to have my application number to ask them a question thru email which is in the welcome letter that may take weeks to arrive since I'm overseas.

Yep the system is pretty pathetic. The UK generally doesn't recognise anything. Two of my friends have degrees from their mother countries. One had to do a conversion exam; the other had to start from scratch as her degree was not recognised in the UK at all. Bit arrogant. All those years of study not recognised! I wouldnt be pleased.

Contact the Overseas Students division of the Admissions Departments of the Universities you wish to apply to. Since you can only apply to 6 universities (at least that was the case in my day back in 1996) this shouldn't be too onerous a task.

I would be prepared to have to send transcripts though. I used to work in a University Admissions office and I seem to remember the foreign students needing to provide additional information on top of the general UCAS application.

Hope that's helpful :)

i'm afraid uk universities do not fairly care what your GPA is (we get 0 credit for homework and exams performed at school right here) and making a decision on somebody per their extracurricular pursuits is unlawful. Universities are required to desire per people's suitability for the direction. All extracurriculars do is instruct which you at the instant are not working flat out just to get stable college-degree consequences, and which you're an , dedicated character who enjoys pushing themself to benefit. Your student government involvement is extreme on your suitability for those classes, besides the undeniable fact that that's approximately it. you may elect to verify you get stable SAT or ACT consequence, and you will additionally could desire to take SAT II or AP instructions in matters with regard to the classes you prefer to ought to do and get fantastic consequence in the exams for those.

It would be best so that they can help you with the application process. Most schools require that you send your transcript and test scores. Besides, if you go ahead and send it, it won't delay your application process.
