You have to find similar yarn and weave a patch, sewing it on at the same time. Sometimes you can find tailors or seamstresses who do invisible weaving.

You can use the same method for darning socks to repair small holes in clothing. You can buy a ball of wool close to the same used in the clothing. If you only need a little you can buy actual darning wool but it is harder to find..
