Snoop around her desk (a quick glance will do), to get an idea of her interests. Lots of family photos? How about a really cute desktop photo album? Paperback novels? Maybe a gift card to a bookstore would hit the spot! Does she have a think for fruit fragrances? Perhaps a set of trial-size hand lotions or a spa kit from Bath & Body Works. If she always gets lunch from the same restaurant, maybe a gift card or certificate from it would do well.

I am surprised that a small 'wish list' wasn't included with the names. Perfume would send the wrong message. That's a bit personal. What about a DVD, Popcorn, Candy, and maybe a blockbuster giftcard. Put it in a popcorn bowl, or gift bag. I got this as a gift once and I loved it!!

Blimey! 40 bucks? That beats the heck out of the $5 limit we stipulate back home!

With that much money to spend, I suggest a gift pack from Lush.
Failing that, every woman wants a gift voucher for a yummy massage or facial.

Better yet, give her husband or boyfriend or mother or sister or friend a call & ask him/her/them what she might want.
Consider it reconnaisance for your own girlfriend or wife, or future romancing.
What fun!

Candles are always a good gift. Especially for a woman. Make it something seasonal. Pier 1 Imports has great ones, an more than enough scents to choose from.

Gift certificates are always nice.
My former co-workers would frequently give certificates to bookstores, Bath and Body Works,
or a favorite restaurant, as birthday gifts with a $25.00 or so limit.
If you want to get a few different ones to put it in a nice new coffee mug or sparkly holiday basket, she can have fun treating herself to whatever she likes.
Haha, I see Angela M. and I think a bit alike!

Wow! At our work we were asked not to exceed $10 on exchange presents. A nice pair of gloves with some lottery tickets stuck inside?

I think gift cards are tacky but a gift certificate to a nice local restaurant would be nice, or movie tickets, candles are always nice.

Buy her some-thing practical that will not use up, like a pen [refillable] set and stationary set, or something that she can use in the home, like a vase,a table napkin holder, or a lovely ornament.
