Keeping in mind that Elvis Presley Enterprise, for 29 years, has turned their backs and thumbed their noses at local and national Elvis impersonators and rumors circulated about possible lawsuits for impersonators even donning the jumpsuit, is now wanting to put on an "Ultimate Elvis Contest" in Memphis next August. For years now, Elvis Presley Enterprises has downplayed the Fan Club Presidents luncheon and now laugh at the devotion of the fans. What will they think of next to destroy or mock the name of Elvis Presley?

No I wouldn't go, I find a lot of impersonators tacky.
It is a mockery to his memory and we all know there will never be another Elvis.

Did you know that Elvis recently entered an Elvis impersonators contest in his home town of Parkes, Australia (he was resettled by the FBI as part of a witness protection scheme)? He came fourth.

Not really, as Elvis impersonators come off more like other Elvis impersonators than like Elvis himself

>Elvis is dead...even so he continues to make money...lots of (non-productive) people also make money on Dead Elvis. It's rather sad, but that's the way it is.<
