32=2n-3n+5n
32=-1n+5n
32=4n
n=8
2x+5-7x=15
2x-7x=-5x
-5x+5=15
-5(-2)+5=15
10+15=15
x=-2

I'll start with #2 first:
32=2n-3n+5n First, combine like terms:
32=2n - 8n
32= -6n Then let's divide both sides by -6:
-32/6 = n ...And then simplify...
-16/3 = n
-5 1/3 = n How's that?
Now let's take a look at #1...
2x = 5 - 7x = 15 This seems a bit confused... 2 = signs in one problem??
Perhaps we should separate it into two problems and see what it does...
2x = 5 - 7x
5 - 7x = 15
We'll take these one at a time:
9x = 5 I added 7x to both sides of the frist one...
x = 5/9 ...and now I divided by 9.
Now let's try the other one: 5 - 7x = 15
I subtract 5... - 7x = 10
...and then divide by -7: x = -10/7
= -1 3/7
Which does not agree with the other part... I recommend double-checking the original problem to see if we have a typo.
I hope this is of help to you!

The first question is impossible. If you rewrite it to 5-7x=15 and 2x=15, then x=7.5 for the second breakdown. However, if you replace x in the first breakdown, you get 5-7*(7.5)=15, which is not true.
32=2n-3n+5n can be rewritten as 32=4n, and 32/4 = 8. Therefore, n=8.

2x+5-7x=15 combine like terms
-5x+5=15 subtract 5 from each side
-5x=10 divide by -5
x=-2
32=2n-3n+5n combine like terms
32=4n divide by 4
8=n or n=8

you have a typo so I'll assume it should be 2x + 5 - 7x= 15 >>> x=-2. In the scond equation, n=8

They are like-terms.
The first one is impossible because there is no way to combine like-terms with 2 = signs
Second one,
32 = 4n
Then divide both sides by 4
32 / 4 which is 8 so n = 8

32 = 10n
divide it by 10
n = 32/10
n = 16/5
2x=5-7x=15 makes no sense.
