Southwest is a great airline, I fly with them often and they have good prices but it's a no frills airlines (not meals, movies, or anything like that). The flights are usually on time and I have never had my luggage lost with them.

Another low cost airline is JetBlue. You can get flights from as low as $60, and they are also a no frills airlines ... but seriously, the service isn't all that great, and the staff seem miserable.

I have flown on Southwest many times and find them to be a good airline. They have also been named as one of the safest US airlines. Their only drawback is that since they are a low cost carrier, there is no meal service on the plane. They do provide non-alcoholic drinks and usually a small bag of peanuts or crackers.

Sawatdee kha. Southwest offers good service at cheap prices if you book at least 2-3 weeks before your trip. Holiday season travel may sell out earlier than that, though.

Jet Blue is another discount domestic airline.

Have a good trip!
