That is a question for her doctor, only they know her full medical history. If she has a history of miscarriages then they may say no to her flying...it all depends on each individual person.

Six weeks is very early and there shouldn't be any issues with circulation yet although she may want to make sure she has access to doggie bags if she is experiencing nausea - the plane trip could exacerbate it. I know they haven't really done testing on the results of the radiation on plane trips and how that could affect a developing fetus. Personally, I'd rather take things super safe and just not travel by plane - but I'm really paranoid about that stuff. I know others who took lots of plane trips throughout pregnancy and not an issue at all as long as you're careful on the foods consumed and you have access to safe drinking water.

Yes. It is suggested that women in their last trimester avoid airplane travel. Six weeks is in the first, you have some time before you are to avoid it.

Precautions: See your doctor for any vaccines that might be necessary. It is easier to catch illnesses when you are pregnant because of lowered immune system. Certain illnesses will harm the fetus. Make sure you tell them you are pregnant.

Pregnant women can not and should not fly.
They need to Use an AIRPLANE just like the rest of us people. LOL

Seriously, Taking an airplane at 6 weeks is Fine unless there is a known problem, IE; history of early miscarriages.

As far as what countries it is safe to travel to, she should speak to her doctor to find out if it's OK.

The precautions she should take is not to travel. Traveling a long time can cause blood clots especially in pregnant women. So don't make her do it and stay here. I don't recommend flying to any pregnant women...

It is highly recommended that a pregnant lady NOT travel during her pregnancy. Traveling to eastern countries such as China, Vietnam, and India can be dangerous for the unborn child considering all the diseases you can catch that will affect the baby. Wait at least 1 or 2 years after pregnancy before you decide to travel.

A pregnant woman can travel by air until the last month of pregnancy usually. Just make sure she has the aisle seat, a "doggy bag" so she can get sick if she can't make it to the bathroom, pillows, crackers. I strongly suggest she fly first class so that she has room to lie back, especially for such a long trip.

Talk to your dr, but I don't think that @ 6 weeks you have to take any precautions as far as air travel.

You can travel anywhere you want. Flying will not effect you or your baby. I flew to Mexico at 7 1/2 month and we were fine. If you are really concerned consult your dr.
