your question is going to draw a lot of spite from people who disagree with you. But I'll say Williams would be my choice between the two and here's the reasons why: As my PG as a floor general i would take Williams, yes Paul is quick but Deron is the smarter player. For scoring Paul easy. For defense it's williams again because Paul is too small and Willams can pound against big gaurds like Baron Davis and Billups. Stats that some where basing thier arguements on don't work Deron plays on a better team in a tougher conference so it's harder to fill a stat sheet and Paul's team bit/bites so it's easy to shine. The only way to really look at this and say stats matter would be if both players played on the same team. Since that's not the case it is as subjective as saying pizza is better then burritos... What you prefer would determine how loud you yell for or against. It comes down to who fits better on your team and the way they play- for me that would be Williams.

I am sure if Chris Paul were to stand, anybody could run in a circle around him.
If you are referring to level of play then you are not right. Chris Paul is an outstanding young point guard. Deron Williams is a good young player, but I don't think there is a player in the NBA who "can run circles around Chris Paul"

chris paul might average more points then deron williams but that doesn't mean he will run circles around him either deron williams is a good player and he's a tough defensive player so while chris paul will score his points due to the fact that he's an awesome player as well he won't dominate and run circles around deron williams as you claim he would or vice versa for that matter

As of right now, Chris Paul is a smidge ahead of Deron Williams. He is the reigning ROY, therefore, he obviously had a better year. Based on stats, Chris Paul is doing better than Deron Williams (19.3 pts, 3.9 rebs. 9.3 asts as compared to 18.7pts, 2.9 rebs, 9.0 asts). Based on the ability of the team, I think Chris Paul is doing a better job of running his team because not to take anything away from Deron, but his team is just more talented. Their front-line, even without the service of AK-47 (injured), is much more dominant than the young line of the Hornets. Bobby Jackson is matched up against Derek Fisher as basically the sixth-man-who-should-start-at-the-other-guard-but-is-too-small-to-play-the-2 and considering that, I think the Hornets may have a slight advantage, but not enough to offset the lack of depth and lack of combined talent on the front line.

Chris paul is fast but so is williams, but with his smarts at this point in there careers, Paul can out run him by out smarting him, you know playing angle on the defensive end, and using screens on the offensive end.

All that Rose cares approximately is triumphing, and if meaning taking countless pictures a interest then he will do this. he's a 22 twelve months old chief who took his team to the ECF If Rose had a organic scorer on his team, then he could play equivalent to CP3. CP3 is a extra suitable organic element take care of than D Rose.. And final time the bulls performed the hornets, Rose had like 25 and 10 and CP3 had like 6 factors and a few assists. ROSE CP3 Williams

Chris Paul - 16.1 + 5.1 + 7.8 = 29
D. Williams - 10.8 + 2.4 + 4.5 = 17.7
Power Rating = p + r + a
Stats say that Paul is better.
