Out of Liquid Plumr, Drano, and The Works drain opener? I just tried the Works and it didn't "work" at all. The drain is still very clogged. About a year ago, when my drain clogged, I used Liquid Plumr, and it worked well. (I bought The Works this time because it was on sale for much cheaper, I wonder why?) I've never tried Drano, which is best?

LP might work again, all the openers you mentioned are mostly for eating away hair, since that's mostly what clogs drains. If your drain is clogged with dirt, or a chunk of soap, then you might have to get a snake or plunger.

I think it is time to buy a plumber's snake to keep your pipes clean. Then pour 1/2 cup baking soda into each drain, followed by 1/2 cup warm vinegar. The reaction between the acidic vinegar and the alkaline baking soda will loosen any debris in the drain .
I hope you tried plunging the drain before buying all that expensive drain opener. It sometimes takes up to 4 bottles of liquid plumber to unclog a sink.

ok I DO NOT like to use harmful chemicals, and I have had this problem, if you are at home you probley have this stuff on hand now. Put baking soda down drain and then start pouring in vinegar, once the fizzing stops put in more baking soda and continue until unclogged, I have never seen a clogg it did not open! at least it is very cheap to try and it does not smell nearly as bad! hope for the best!

I pour 1 cup baking soda in the drain and slowly add 1 cup of vinegar. I let that fizz and then slowly pour 2 cups of boiling water down the drain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then I run the hot water from the faucet.
Hope this helps.

(to all uninformed) most of your draino / liquid plumber products don't even work, even as well as a (free) pot of boiling water, but people buy them, so they'll exist as long as there's a market with the misinformed.
(now become the informed . . .)
the liquid opener you want has "sulfuric acid" as it's main ingredient. anyone that has discovered any particular brand as a miracle cleaner, only needed to understand this was the main ingredient. why a store has one ($5) bottle that melts hair/grease like sugar cube in hot water, while having a dozen others that don't work, is beyond me??? so try this (but be careful) and you'll immediately know the difference, and begin telling others.

I'll bet this time liquid plumr won't work either. It really is dependent on what is clogging the drain.
