What is a good gift to give my wife on our first Christmas married? Her birthday is also on the same day.

You have to be one of the most thoughtful men I've heard speak in a long time. Most men start planning for Christmas/Birthday presents the night before. Now that you have me in a good mood, all I can say is that you know your wife best. If this is your first Christmas together, that gift should be something special that she can pass down through the generations, maybe a music box or something engraved. I do recommend keeping her birthday present separate. I'm sure all her life, she's had to get blended gifts..meaning half CHristmas and half birthday...which probably wasn't too thrilling for her. SO get her one Christmas gift and one birthday one. Just think about what she likes, or watch to see if she needs anything but doesn't mention it. You seem to be a thoughtful minded person, you'll come up with something.

There are ornaments you can buy at Christmas that say 'Our First Christmas'- women love stuff like that. She'll remember it every year when she puts up the tree so it's a gift that keeps on giving. Plus then you'll have lots of money left over to take her on a mini-vaca. Stay in a lodge for a weekend and take tons of pictures so you'll remember the day forever.

Make sure you give her a Christmas gift and a gift that is for her birthday(and cards for both occasions) too --- nobody likes being short changed if their birthday falls on big Holiday like Christmas.
You will have to do a little work on finding out what she wants - take her to the mall and see what things catch her eye....

a simple gold heart diamond necklace and gold chain to go along with it. That is what I have wanted for years and no one has ever thought of it . She will love it.
