PS3 all the way.
lets consider the differences. i might as well annoy Xbox fans while im at it too.
PS3 has full HD support. neither the Wii or the 360 have anything close to that.
PS3 has blu-ray compatibility. The Wii has nothing of the sort. and the 360 requires you spend $200 to play HD DVDs which arent even as good as blu-ray discs.
Ps3 can store up to 60GB of music movies and games. 360 can store 20GB and Wii can store jack ****.
Ps3 had games like resistance, Lair, Full auto 2, Motorstorm. the only good game of the 360 is halo 3, which wont be here until next november.
PS3 has the option of HDMI, AV, Coaxial, or component output, the 360 gives you one cable that will use either A/V or Component, and they have the nerve to call the component output HD. wii makes you use AV.
The Blu-ray discs used for PS3 games make the games enormous, and worth much more time. i beat gears of war on the 360 in 9 hours. i have been playing resistance for 12 hours and i am about one quarter the way through. the Wii isn't even worth mentioning here, all their games are aimed at children and can be finished with within 4 hours.
there is really no question as to which is better. the only reason you may hear negative things about the PS3 is because people have decided to jump on some PS3 hating bandwagon. they are the same ignorant dipshits that barge into best buy to buy an iPod without considering other players by creative.
"Gotta get an iPod, thats what everyone else has, everyone hates the PS3, i gotta hate it too"
come on, grow up, get your own opinion.

WI, its main purpose about games; PS3 is all about Sony selling Blue-Ray disks and high definition TVs! The PS3 also has no "killer app" (that makes up for the insane cost of the system), while the Wii has the new Zelda. Also, the WI is actually possible to buy this Holiday season. What happened to the Xbox 360? It has the best selection of high definition games this year. Is it not good because its a year older?
The Wii will probably be more successful, as the PS3 is just another PS; while the Wii is affordable and has noob friendly controls.

ps3: yes, expensive, but has a ton more processing power compared to the wii and the graphics rock! plus, it also has the movement sensitive controller (6 axis) that the wii keeps on talking about
wii: great party console and good for the not-so-hardcore gamers. has the motion-sensetive controller (3 axis) and games are fun and easy to pick up and play. but, lacks online play and has less processing power than the ps2 and cant compare with the next-gen power of the ps3 or 360
dont have 700$ but still want some good hardcore gameplay, get the 360. it is fun even though it doesnt have the motion sensetive accelerometer built into the controller. most of the games are top notch (splinter cell double agent is great) along with a list of other games all with great graphics
