Tall people tends to look intimidating but it doesn't mean they get more respect and have more say at work. Perhaps, they get attention right away because of their height but it is really up to the person himself whether he's tall or short if he's got confidence and speaks out then he gets respect at work.

Dilbert discusses this point. He also talks about "Executive Hair".

Most top-level police depts (ie, State Police) have height requirements. Why? Because size is intimidating, and there is an element in fear in every authority figure. A 6 foot 6 inch cop doesn't get into many fights, while a 5 foot 5 inch cop will get into lots of fights!!

punch that taller person in the neck, after that you will see who gets more say. I am 5'11" so not short, but not tall but I speak my mind and I do not believe height has anything to do with how much respect you get, it is how you act thats gets the respect.
