Xmas is only 4,1/2 weeks away .Is there a "right time" to get the christmas decoration out ?

Is it too early now, even though the shopping malls & stores started decorating in late September .

Basically, can I get my wreath on the door, without looking ridiculous for the neighbourhood ?

( The outside temperature is 36C* right now )

I think I should adhere to the 1`rst of Advent ( 3 Dec,2006) four-week Advent period leading up to Christmas is an important part of the celebration.
So thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Put them up! Enjoy the Christmas season. Where I live the city has had the festival of lights up for a week now. It's a long drive through a big park with amazing Christmas lights. Many homes are lit up and the children and adults are all enjoying them. We are kids at heart where Christmas is concerned. Do not be put off by the nay sayers. There are many out there that would love to see Christmas just go away. It will not, but they will try. They will try to shorten the time you enjoy Christmas too. Stand up for your right to DECORATE!

To create good harmony and well being (apparently) xmas decorations aren't supposed to go up before the 1st of Dec. And then they need to be brought down before the 1st of jan.
