I am a high school sophmore, what are some of the things it takes to get into college's such as michigan and notre dame? I am a very good golfer and was on varsity this past year. I also ran track last year, but since I am better at golf I am going to improve and play more competitively in the spring. Also at school, I am a member of a several clubs, like 2 service clubs, french club, and ping pong club. I have good grades like 5 A's and 1 B. What do peoples transcripts look like when they get accepted into schools such as michigan and notre dame?

first you have to get a good score on your ACT test. and if your out of state then you have to score well on your SAT. besides that don't try to write like me, they want good reasons, points, and other things in your essay that you will send them. your grades from highschool only represents what you are capable of at the moment, they really look at other things such as your extra curricular activities and how you manage to balance it with your academics. me and my friend got into michigan easily. the hard part is how long can you stay there without messing up and droping out.

5 A's 1 B, those are grades that will get you into Notre Dame or Michigan. I would say go to Michigan and be a Wolverine. I see you are a nerd so you should have no problem.

Keep up the grades, and doing community service wouldn't look bad on your application either. good luck.
