A CEO should make all the money he can and all he wants- IT'S HIS COMPANY. Is there anything here the workers don't undersand? If they don't like it, they should go through all the bullshit he had to to get to the top.

thats the way it works, bro. Look at whats happening in the hurricane Katrina damaged area. I saw a special on CNN, There are a couple of thousand people living in motor homes cause theyre insurance companies look for any reason, loophole in their insurance contract so they wont pay these people for their homes. One of these people actually had been with State Farm insurance for over 40 years!!!! Can you imagine!?! They are being offered 11 cents on the dollar for their homes. Seriously, how much can it set them back to pay for their homes(at least those who were insured) ? At the end of the program the narrator stated that the profit in the insurance industry is up to 4.5 billion or so last year.
Have you seen "The Corporation" ? You would find it very interesting.

The CEO's bonus is based on the company's profit. If he gives you a pay increase, then the profit will decrease and his bonus will decrease.
