My friends ex boyfriend of 3& a half yrs says stuff to her like:-
I don't see us getting back together but if I am going to give the relationship another chance I need to think about it a bit longer!
He is a country guy dedicated to his work - he is not looking for anyone else and he doesn't want anyone else. She has told him that hes the one she wants to spend the rest of her life with. But he also has pressure at work like if he wants to take on the family business. She has stayed there twice this week and they sleep together but do not have sex - if they do he says he is not using her and that he is just enjoying being by himself! He has asked her to work for him over the summer but he never rings her and when she turns up at his house he doesn't tell her to go away and isn't worried if people including his parents see her car there. He lost a limb in an accident 6yrs back and also has a really bad skin condition (do you think this may be the problem?)

That because he has these two conditions he thinks why would anyone love me?? My friend asked him this and he paused then said no not really - and then she said bull it is isn't it and he never answered! So what does this sound like to you people out there?

Is it possible he wants to sort his work related issues out before he works on them? This guy is not a liar and keeps telling his ex not to worry about what anyone else thinks because he is not!!

I think he has made himself perfectly clear to her. At least he is being honest. Your friend has to accept that is what he wants out of life right now. Who knows, someday he may change his mind and want to settle down. It is now up to her to "Take it or Leave it". If she is ok with the situation, then they are both satisfied. If she's not then, she should go find someone who can return the same feelings. She can't change him.

sounds like she is desperate for him and he isnt in love with her. It sounds like he cares for her and loves her, but doesnt want to be in a relationship with her. Maybe he didnt answer back because she wasnt willing to believe him
