There are a lot of variables here:

1. What type of book/story are you writing? Serious? Light-hearted?

Serious names would be Alexandria, Charlotte and Samuel.

Light-hearted would be Brooklynn, Carmen (I think the "K" is distracting) and Ricky.

2. What are your characters' personalities like? I see Iris as shy and pretty, Brooklynn as friendly and perky, Paris as snobbish and self-centered, Alexandria as smart and intellectual, Charlotte as old-fashioned and mousy, Carmen as Latin and fiery. James is dependable and fun, Samuel is serious and studious, Rylin is an athlete and playboy, Ricky is a jokester and cute, Sammy is nice but a little immature.

But that's JMHO. ;)

For the girls I would pick: Karmen and Charlotte, the names sort of go together and are both very exquisite names.
For the boy: James, because the name is variable: full of seriousness or a little bit quirky.

I really like IRIS and CHARLOTTE,

but none of the boys names are that good, are you writing a book set in the 1800s?? I think either TAYLOR or NICK for your boy's name.

But if i must choose from your list, JAMES.

Brooklynn, and Alexandria... that way they can always have shortened names for nicknames to make them more personal when needed.... I like Rylin for a boys name... it sounds like it could be very diverse. Sweet, and mysterious.
