yes they are as long as they are not too severe. I had them with all four of my pregnancies, they started before I knew I was pregnant. A good web site to check out is www.marchofdimes.com .........If you ask your doctor he'll tell you the technical name for what you are feeling, I can't remember what it's called.

as long as there is no bleeding it is probably just growing pains. occassional dull cramping esp on one side is usually a sign that your uterus is growing. During pregnancy so much goes on inside, with all the readjusting and moving around of organs it's no wonder why we sometimes have some cramp like symptoms... which can also be very scary because it's hard to not think the worse! Just relax. My dr always told me to try changing positions or to lay down if possible to relieve these pains. Best of luck :)

I think some cramping is normal at the beginng as long as there is no bleeding. If the pain starts to shoot down one leg go to the doctor immediately, it happened to a friend of mine and she found out that is what an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy feels like.

Yes it is normal. I called my midwife one time because the pain was really bad, she warned me that it might be the beginning on a miscarriage, if it was followed by bleeding. Well I never bled and the baby is fine, I am now 14 weeks. Pregnancy is a stressful time but I know you are fine, You are just growing! Congrats on the baby!

I had the very same problem and it turned out to be a harmless "hormonal" cyst. The doctor explained that the cyst developed because of a hormonal imbalance triggered by my pregnancy. He explained that it would go away as the baby grew.. and it did. It stopped hurting around 3 months. Hang in there!

Aww a new baby..:)....Your fine as long as there is no bleeding. As time goes on the cramping will move as your body is changing to meet its need of space for your child. Maybe your hips, under your ribs, your other side, pelvis. Honey you just might have toe cramps sometimes...lol...but love every min. of it goes buy so fast. Good luck
