Anemia is low iron.

If you remain anemic during the first two trimesters, you're at a higher risk for having a preterm delivery or a low-birthweight baby. And if you're severely deficient, it could affect your baby's iron stores at birth, increasing his/her risk for anemia later in infancy.

Very low levels of iron in blood can cause anemia or a alot of blood loss can trigger it. It can be treated, however it is dangereous if not tended to and people can die from it.
Are u a vegeterian? Alot of new vegeterians may experience this if they do not supplement the iron lost from not eating meats. Red meats are high in iron, as well as green leafy vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, brussel sprouts and many many more..Taking simple iron pills can also help or just eating better. Look up food with high levels of iron but be carefull because having too much iron is not good either...Just eat healthy and u'll be ok.Good luck

Anemia is low red count. If I'm not mistaken this is how your baby develops and breathes, I could be wrong on one or both accounts, but you do need to have a good blood count in order for the baby to develop without complications or outright die. So keepo taking those iron suppliments

anemia is low iron (usually, but may also be caused by low folate, b12, loss of red blood cells, and problems with red blood cells) not low blood pressure

it is common during pregnancy because the fetus is drawing on the iron in your blood, it might cause preterm birth, but the evidence is inconclusive, as many as 75% of pregnant women have anemia during pregnancy

I was anemic during two pregnancies. Mostly it makes you feel really tired- more than you normally would during pregnancy. Try to eat more iron rich foods- greens, lean meats, proteins. Take the supplement, it definitely will help, but be conscious to eat right as well.

if you don't ger enough iron into your body, you can develop anemia. your need for iron goes up some when you become pregnant...so your baby can be healthy and get enough oxygen...if you don't get enough iron in your body during pregnancy...this isn't good. just be sure to eat foods rich in iron.
