Saddam is out. Bush repeated over and over again that our mission was to provide the Iraqis with liberty, freedom and democracy.
if so, today, five years later, what are we doing to provide these things?

The thing that disturbs me the most, is that the government can say things like "Liberty, Freedom, Democracy"...and the american public actually believes it.
As people living in North America, sure comparatively we have a huge amount of freedom - but a lot of that material freedom depends on the resources of so many countries.
The standard of living that we enjoy doesn't come from nowhere, so in that sense, from that perspective we are not totally free. So when the U.S. goes to war to protect its interest, and uses the words like freedom, liberty, democracy - they aren't totally lying, nor are they totally telling the truth.
Getting a bit philosophical here, but i think the as people living in industrial nations, we have to reduce our dependency at home, so that words like freedom and liberty actually have some relevance.

our news's media is such a bunch of stupid jerks who are only interested in selling their rag that they sensationalize every thing and are hell bent on making the present politicians look stupid and they are , but our news's media has not got the right to state that I have, as a concerned citizen, so by trying to read between the lines and what the soldiers are saying I think we are making some head way, no thanks tithe news's media as they seem to be for the enemy since they insist on giving them our secrets, therefore should not be permitted to view any material or
operations that we use for anything, from what I hear there has been hospitals, schools, factories, homes and businesses built in Afghanistan and Iraq that will entice the people to cooperate with the Americans but, our news's media wants to capitalize on some marine who raped some girl for over a month and at the same time giving our enemy fodder for their propaganda machine and fermenting hate and distrust for the Americans. have you seen any thing in the news's about the schools factories hospitals or any thing else the Americans have built? I haven't seen one thing so who's side are the news's media on??
our citizen's should insist that the politicians let the generals run the war machine and to the hell with P.C. as that is costing our men their lives, turn them loose and the will bring old O,B,L, to justice or death, but they damned sure can't while their hands are tied,

I think its more up to them to accept freedom, liberty, and democracy. It's their choice in the end.

We fight terror over there or we fight it over here. You libs evidently think it should be fought over here with no intelligence gathering at all.
You've basically surrendered.
This isn't a war that's going to be over in 5 years, 10 years. Especially with you liberals emboldening the enemy.
