Communism will collapse but for different reasons that it did in the former USSR. The USSR collapsed because of economic reasons, I don't see that being the downfall of the fastest growing country in the world.

Unlike the former USSR it has accepted (at least way more than USSR did) capitalism. There are now billionaires in China and that could have never happened in the USSR. People are buying things and demanding things in China. In the former USSR they got a ticket for a car or bribed an official to get a car or food, tv, radio.

Healthy competition for products, services, labor are needed to keep people innovating and motivated in their country. I suspect one more generation will have totally embraced the free market and communism will die out.

China has the opportunity to learn from Russia's mistakes. The Chinese as a result are more open to free market policies and not threatening to blow up American cities as the Soviets famously did almost on a daily basis for decades before their collapse.

We want China to be more belligerent towards the united states then the chances of a collapse and rebellion by their people is greater.

By allowing them to ease into open market policies gradually they re profit ting off America and taking advantage of free market economic policies coupled with ruthless state control over public policy. in other they re not moving towards Democracy as the media hypes it up to be but Fascism which as an economic system closely resemble what the Chinese are doing.

That gives China a huge advantage over the United States. A booming economy without being bothered to respect human rights.

It is interesting to watch these kind of Politics and Economics changes taking place.
It seems near impossible to have Economic change without any Social or Political change. The changes are happening now and in several key areas Chinese society seems to be opening up to change at a remarkable speed.
I do not think the Chinese Communist Party will be able to survive completely intact within a one party system and adopt the necessary reforms at a reasonable speed, and therefore will go the way of the Russian Party with splintering and ultimate dissolution.
The old guard is still very strong in China and there may well be several steps back as well as forward. The deciding voice may well lie in the armed forces, who may finally simply refuse to shoot any more unarmed citizens in the future.

They have a much different kind of communism than Russia. In some ways they are easing some of their restrictions on free enterprise, but they have a long way to go. It seems like they are trying to have capitalism in a communist kind of way. There will be immense pressure on them to open up the country more and more as they become a superpower and the middle class expands. Already people's standard of living in China has skyrocketed and eventually the people will demand freedom.

China's economical status is booming, also China isn't much of a communist government, people do extra jobs and get extra money, thats not communist. Although it is branded a communist government it really isn't if you look deeply into it. I think it'll hold for a very long time. Also i'm not trying to be patriotic or anyting seeing as i'm not chinese, i just have a respect for every single country on this great planet we call home, so you can be sure these are my true feeling and not the feelings enforced on me by my nationality.

China is not a full blown communist country, their economy is becoming more and more capitalistic. Due to the shift to capitalism they have the potential to become one of the worlds super powers.
