He says "Iraq war unwinnable"...if he's right, what does that say of the wisdom of the Admin. and to conservatives...if he is right should we look for another definition of win in Iraq?

he did allude that a victory was possible, but discounted it in the present general definition we see promoted...if we define it by a one government Iraq, settling of sectarian violence and have a stable government in the time table acceptable by American society...he said no...

Henry Kissinger is a Republican that finally told the truth.

The Iraq war is unwinnable, unless serious changes are made. The Iraqi people don't like being occupied, and though they are happy Saddam is gone....they don't love Americans either.

The USA needs to make some serious choices ASAP.

Dear Liberal --

I still believe that the invasion was the right way to end a war that started in the 1980's.

I also believe that the occupation has been botched badly.

Kissinger is correct, there needs to be a way to get Syria and Iran to stop supporting the terrorists and militias. This would be something like getting China to agree to keep North Korea from building nukes. Sadly, the US hasn't have diplomatic relations with those countries for decades.

Signed,

A Conservative.

I believe I heard him say that "a military victory is still possible." Perhaps you didn't stay to hear the entire thing.
