The weight that is suggested that a woman gain during pregnancy is roughly 25-30 pounds. I would ask your doctors office if they feel you are gaining to much weight. I gained the most weight in the past four months but I had a friend that gained only ten pounds in the last three months so you could be fine. Be careful how much you eat and try not to give in to pregnancy cravings to much and you should be fine. Good luck with your baby.

Im a nutritionist
normal weight gain during pregnancy is as follows:
weeks1-13 NONE-4lbs water retention
weeks14-40 .8-1.2lbs each week
so five months pregnant is between weeks 18 and 21
normal weight gain would be 4-13.6lbs

I wouldn't worry about it dear. Most women will gain between 3 and 5 pounds the first trimester, and then about a pound a week until the end. It sounds to me like you are well within normal limits.

I wouldn't worry about it. This weight gain is totally normal, and if you don't look like Santa Claus near the end of the nine months, i would be surprised.
Beware of side affects. My mom went up a shoe size when she was pregnant, and is at that shoe size still.

For someone of your prior build you should gain 25-35 pounds total. Sounds like you are on the right track to me.
