I'm a college freshman and I want to either transfer to a not-too-expensive school or find a job or something in a CITY for next semester. But then go back to school Fall 07 if I do that. Thanks!

The main thing is to be sure that keep your marks up as high as you can. When you want to transfer you will not be able to transfer to any top school unless you have really good marks. And if you want to transfer to a mediocre school, they will only take tranfer credits if you have a C or C+ minimum. So whatever you do, don't slack off on your grades!

I don't think it is that big a deal to take some time off. If you don't want to be in school, just get a job and work for a while, but it is good advice to keep your hand in by takling a course or two at the local community college. I wouldn't personally allow any of my kids to come home and live at home without being at school unless they paid up some rent! So I would forget the idea of free rent and food! That's leeching.

THe idea of going in the service is not a bad plan either, except I would vote for the Navy, Coast Guard or Air Force rather than the Army. You get great benefits in the service, but if you go Army you are going to Iraq, dude! That's definite.

Don't stay in school running up big debts for yourself or your parents if it is not working out. CHoose a new plan and go for it!

I hear you my friend! I am right where you are. I am actually a junior in college and I hate it up here! I am in the middle of trying to transfer somewhere else for next semester. Are you living up there? My best advice to you would be too find a local college or university. Stick with your education! If you take some time off you may not be motivated to want to go back although that is not always the case. Look for jobs at places that correlate with your major. You could even find a job that could help pay for your education and would be a motivator for you to finish. Live at home and go to school because it would be a whole lot cheaper, you wouldn't have to pay for rent, food, things like that. Well whatever you decide and best luck to you!

end the semester. evaluate shifting to a diverse college. otherwise, take some destroy day and artwork. college isn't for everybody, it really is the reality. yet you've already paid for this semester's instructions and that is perhaps too overdue to withdraw without dropping the teachings (or a minimum of an major chew of it). of route, in case you may income this without monetary ramifications or little or no at that, it will be priceless. purely be confident you've a plan "B." the maths is rather sparkling that faculty graduates make a lot more effective than severe college graduates contained in the destiny, so the funding is rather priceless.

Don't stop going to school, it is a lot harder to go back full time than you can imagine. Since your a Freshman, why don't you try some of the community colleges while you look around for a more suitable 4 year school.
