Do you really hate him or are you just mad at him?
If you are mad at him or tired of the way he is treating you then you should just keep your distance and avoid him for a little while. It is always good to gain perspective on the situation and time always allows this to happen.
If you honestly don't want to be friends with him anymore than just let him know.
But I warn you that once you tell him you dont want to be friends that may be the end. So be sure that you give your self some time and space to figure out what you are really feeling and what would be the best way for you to handle it personally!

ok first of all if you hate this person then why do you call him your friend just tell him and move an and find another friend ta hate

I cannot be your friend any longer simply because I hate you. Now do you really mean this or you just very upset with him for something he has done?

UGH!!! dont you hate that? I have too many friends that i want to say that to. But i dont tell them like that. They kind of notice, when i avoid them. You see i had a friend that was so annyoing, and she wouldnt leave me alone, so one day i just ignored her, and walked along to my other firends. She tryed to talk to me, but i ignored her... I didnt work for all, so i told them to leave me the hack alone. Dont be mean about it, until you have to. Just do what i did, i am sure it will work. (She is out of my hair! hallilugha!)

Just say it, "I Hate You!" If you really hate this person theres no need to worry about hurting their feelings.

If this person is your friend ,you could not hate them, obvously this is not your friend, just say, hey, i don't want to hang with you anymore, have a good life

If you hate this person, then I wouldn't worry too much about saying it gently. If you hurt his/her feelings, so what? You hate them anyway!!
