If I were you, I would contact MUFON. They have a website and could probably answer this question. I think you can sign up to do field investigations with them without even having a degree or anything.

Of course there is a special degree for studying UFO's but first you have to study hard and get your associates degree in the study of lepricons and little green men. Of course you then have to get your Bachelours degree in the study of life on the Moon, Mars and Pluto. When you are ready you can get your Masters degree in the study and identification of UFO's.
When you graduate they will supply your gown so there is no need to go out and buy your own. I suggest that you ask for two gowns because if you wear only one there is a helluva breeze from behind, not to mention the fact that everyone will see your underwear. When you put the bed pan,,,,,,,,,, uh... uh...I mean cap on, make sure to dry it out good , it may be a little damp.
When they call your name just walk to the front of the room and the nice man dressed in white will give you your degree, he may also give you some medication, just humor him and take it, he thinks you have a head ache..............................hahahaha

Probably the next best thing would be Astronomy... but that's a real field, I don't think there are scientific studies of UFOs.

First, go out at night (clear nights are best)
look up...while you gaze upon all those stars, think that each and everyone of them (to the best of our knowledge) has at least one planet spinning around it.

now, ask yourself, on what star's system and on what planet in that system am i going to find intelligent life?

this is the same question the UFOs drivers had to ask themselves.

now think about the resources and man power it took to get us to the frigging moon...and how we've missed mars more times than hit with probes.

now lets ball it all together, not only would it be near impossible to figure out WHERE to look, but it would also be extremely hard and costly to get there. and knowing nothing about the atmosphere we would be entering not knowing if we could fly there as we do here.

I think you'd be wasting your time

Is there life out there...without question I'd say yes...have they been here....I'd think not.
