Im planning on getting my son those ps1/2/3, gamecube, 360.. (no p2ps or small devices)
What are all of them called, which one is better, why?, prices/game prices. i know nothing of these things so im asking you guys for help

It all depends on how old ur son is, and how much you are willing to spend. If your son is younger...say younger than 11, you're probably better off getting a Gamecube or Wii. The Gamecube is $100 and the Wii is $250. If he is in his teen years, he will likely want a PS2, PS3, Xbox, or Xbox 360. The PS2 and Xbox are the cheapest, each going for $129 believe. They are both very good, with the PS2 having the slight edge because of its massive game library. The Xbox 360 has been out for over a year and is very good but costs $400. The PS3 is $600 and will be next to impossible to find throughout the next year. Live is an online service that is featured on both the Xbox and Xbox 360 that allows gamers to play each other over the internet. Overall, I would reccomend a PS2 if you aren't looking to spend a great deal. If you are willing to spend more, an Xbox 360 is a great choice. You can't go wrong with either.

You should get your son a xbox 360 or a playstation 2. A playstation 1, was discountinued 6 years ago. Playstation 2 is still available, but its games will soon be out of date. Nintendo Gamecube is also good, but its games will quickly be outdated. You should get him the $300 version of xbox 360. Xbox was outdated last yeart. Nintendo Wii is also good, but if your son is around 11 years old or younger the wii is right for him. But the difference is that xbox 360 can play dvds and cds so it has more capabilities, thats why the xbox 360 is higher priced. The $400 xbox 360 version is even better. Playstation 3 is too pricey at around $500-$600

360 sux it only has 1 good game

PS3 game console, best graphics, game play, and versatility. Game prices can range from the 20's to 70's depending on the game. I know the console itself is a few hundred dollars. So it is not cheap. But he can also use it to watch DVD's and play music.
Also you may want to read the labels when buying games. ( T=tee, M=mature ) those labels will tell you alot about the games you buy and the games your son plays. Trust me you will want to learn about these labels and game content befor you buy the game. Also pleas emonitor game hours and games he buys
