it is a Small pasta ball. it looks like a grain of wheat. Couscous is the correct way of saying it. it is traditional in North African and Middle Eastern food dishes like couscous pudding

are you sure you dont mean cous cous?
thats a wheat semolina...usually used in curry dishes as a subsitute for rice
