I haven't taken consideration into getting an iPOD, until recently, and I'd like to ask:

How well can you organize your songs on your iPOD
I like to listen to different types of songs, depending on my mood
Can I order them into different categories, and play one category?

First, you must have your own PC or Laptop computer with Internet conncetion. Then download ITunes from the apple website. Once you have this, you can rip any songs from a CD or downloaded MP3's and store them in you ITunes library. Then plugin your IPOD and sync your ITunes library with your IPOD. Pretty much, ITunes will do the rest of the job for you.

Here is the link:

it is free

Excellent choice. The ipod is deffinitely the best player on the market (i have 3!!) and it looks cool too!

The main thing for organization is to make sure all your songs have all the info you might need (track name, number, artist, album, genre, and much much more!) If you buy from the iTunes store, all this info is already filled in for you and you dont need to worry about it. If you import music from a CD iTunes will check the internet and also fill in all the information for you (assuming you have an internet connection).
So once your music is transferred to your iPod you can browse by any of those categories.. artist name, track name, album name, genre. Then to further that, you can create your own playlists and make your own mix! To top it all off, you can just click on shuffle all songs, and let the iPod choose for you!
You will love your iPod and you will wonder what you did before you got it!!
Try out and download itunes for free to see if you like it. Once youre familiar with itunes, the iPod is a breeze!

PS. dont let some salesman try to sell you a Zune instead.

YES! u can seperate all the songs on ur ipod once their on, well, actially it does it for u. There are areas where it tells u if that category is latan, pop, alternative, rock, country, ect. u then click on it and all the songs that pertain to it are under that category. u can also listen to the music by artist, director, and more but I cant think right now.

iTunes, the software that you use to load songs onto your iPod, has that capability. You can organize your music however you like.

The iPod Shuffle is an exception. That one only plays your songs in random order.

I have had an iPod for almost a year now and love it. It categorizes by almost any information you enter about the song, including genre. Just make sure that you only charge the battery when it has (almost) completely drained for best life.

Yes, just create separate playlists. You can organise by artist or by album or just add individual songs from your library to create your own playlists to, as you say, suit your mood. I currently have 9 individual playlists on mine but you can put lots more on.
