Hi, my antifreeze keeps disappearing. I fill the resivor and i have to refill it like twice a day. There is no leak it just disappears. My brother said that the radiator probably wan't filled after the new water pump was installed but; I can't even get the cap off. I can twist it but it won't come off. Does the filling of the radiator sound like to solution? How many bottles of anti freeze will this take probably?

Those engines were bad about leaking coolant between the throttle body and the upper intake. Sometimes, the leak could be at the upper intake to lower intake gaskets. Pull the upper intake(sometimes called the plenum) and replace the upper intake gaskets and the throttle body gasket. This can be a tough one to diagnose. You won't usually see coolant residue on the dip stick with this problem.

you have to push down on the cap and twist it off. It should take about 2 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze/water. If the radiator is not leaking, it may be intake gaskets or the upper intake.

Two other possibilities, one problem. Blown head gasket. The coolant can be going into the oil or being sucked into the cylinders and burnt. Both are very bad. Get it checked out .

Try again.
Once you turn the cap till it stops, push down hard and turn it a little more.

The radiator neck is notched so that people don't loosen it and have the thing blow off and spray hot coolant in their face.
