Relay under the hood is going out?
Bad, or loose power or ground to blower motor?
Bad switch at heater controls?
Loose fuse?

Yes, possibly the relay....if the compressor kicks on and off, then I would check that...provided the system is fully charged. If it is fully charged and the compressor is running all of the time but it gets cold intermittently, then I would suspect that there is some moisture in the system causing ice in the orifice or possibly too much oil in the system and it's bunching up and going through the orifice and that's when it stops cooling. Need more info to be sure in this case. Good luck.
