I have researched the holiday which says that it is observed on the 4th thursday, however this year and next year it is on the 3rd thursday.

Thaksgiving is on the 23rd this year which is the 4th Thursday of November.

You can't count -- the US Thanksgiving IS on the fourth Thursday. It is November 23 this year. The last day of the month, November 30, will be the fifth Thursday.

the 23rd is not the 4th Thursday. Did anyone even look at the calendar?
also the dates of the 2nd, 9th 16th and 23rd are SATURDAY'S not Thursday.
So still there is no answer

It IS on the fourth Thursday in November. 2,9,16,23,30 those are the dates of the Thursdays in November. Got it?
