When ever it is wet or cold outside the speedomiter dose not work. the only way to get the needle up is to go over forty miles an hour and press the trip counter hard. Whats wrong with it and is it cheap to fix

Sounds to me like the speedometer cable collar came off the back of the speedometer and the cable has dropped out of the gear housing a little

Then, when you push on the dash board you push it back far enough to make contact with the inner gear at the backside of the speedo

Try reaching WAY up the back to the cable and see if it's loose.

I'm no pro but; i have experienced the same problem. I needed a new cable. I don't know how much it costs, i had it fixed for free.
