what's the difference? Nothing, in my eyes. So, if u c him/her a lot, in odd places such as bushes, or trees, or, behind a wall or somewhere u wouuldn't normally meet a friend, he/she might be a stalker. If your getting threatenning notes, emails, etc. etc., you might want 2 consult a policeman/woman.

I think nowadays with all the relationships that go bad and with all the information from the internet sources and directories it is so easy to get information. I think if it escalates more then just an irritation, watch for further signs.

They start to follow you and don't take no for an answer. Usually they have an obsessive personality. Most have above average intelligence, with no or few personal relationships. Most have low self-esteem and many of them are not embarrassed by their actions.

Believing that their victims love and care for them, they become sociopathic in their thinking and develop amanipulative mean streak. Stalkers can become violent when frustrated in their quest for this love. Although the majority of cases do not end in murder or grave bodily injury. But you should never brush aside the possibility.

PS: They are likely to be well-educated, older males with possessive or jealous personalities, and, according to the first comprehensive British study of stalkers, they will probably become violent if they have had a relationship with their victims

There really isn't a difference. When a person takes an higher interest in you than you think they should you need to tell them to lay off. Get the police involved if you thin things could get out of hand. Don't try to play the good samaritan if this oerson seems erratic it could end up bad for both of you

Stalkers, by definition, have that potential...it just takes them different amounts of time to escalate, depending on the situation.
