What to do in az in january?

my wife and i will be vacationing in az in january, what are some things we can do and see,we will be staying in scottsdale but we have a car so we are open to all suggestions. also,do we need the pool to be heated in january. thanks

Probably starting next month, I'll take my son to the Phoenix Zoo, Wildlife Zoo, or McCormick Train Park every week!

There's lots of shopping too! Try Scottsdale Fashion Square or Paradise Valley Mall

Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon, The Wave, The Painted Desert, various Indian reservations, etc. There are a million outdoorsy things to do in northern Arizona.

Tombstone to the south... Grand Canyon to the north.. Montezuma Castle indian cliff dwellings not to far...AZ ST museum in Tuscon .. Laughlin NV on the river .. inexpensive hotel casinos with great dining...and Hoover dam if you have never seen it.. one of the wonders of the world..

Wow have fun. I used to live in Phx for twelve years. I miss it so much. I live with my husband in WA state now. I want to show him Phx sometime in the spring of 07.

There's the science center downtown Phx. Go to the Encanto Park on 15th AV and Encanto its nice. Lots to do.
