wow, how come everyone hates jacob black? i mean, what did the poor guy do for gods sake? (aaaand, he just happens to be my favourite character :( Although i like edward cullen too but sometimes he just seems a little too perfect (my opinion)

I have read those books (each book twice to be exact) and I don't hate Jacob Black. While I know that Bella is head over heels in love with Edward (and I must admit Meyer writes him with a certain appeal which you've just got to admire)...I like Jacob too. He really blossomed (if that's the right word) in New Moon. In the first book, Twilight, I forgot about him a few weeks later. I picked up New Moon...and I was left thinking where did Jacob come from? He's there out of the blue and suddenly he's there doing everything he possibly can to take care of Bella after Edward leaves her in a total mess emotionally. So I really liked how Jacob took care of her. And I like how he loves her. He respects her. And I know he would do anything in his power to save her just like Edward would. They're both GOOD guys. Both love her. So there's no reason to villainize him just because fans want her to stick with Edward.
