I was helping a friend try to repair his 91 Chevy S10 Blazer because it was hesitating. The timing is alright, the distributor cap and rotor are new, but the vehicle still hesitates. Since i diagnose the simple problems first, i am suspecting the spark plugs. Even though they are a month old, i think new parts fail at times.

Dispite the hesitation, the vehicle seems to idle alright, and the fluids are full

Had a Chevy 'burban in the shop for an intake gasket. finished the intake. Dammed thing didn't have any power. went through many sensors, reset the computer...etc. Finally we advanced the timing, and it ran fine. Took the 'burban to another shop, they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Go to auto zone or advance auto--or whatever auto parts store is in your area, they can do a diagnostic test on your car. It is not an in-depth test but it also doesn't cost a thing.
There are many reasons sparkplugs can fail (if that is in fact the problem). Take one or 2 out and look at them. If they are white, the car is running too lean, or oil residue and oil deposits, burned plugs,--there are many other things to look for. In other words, pull a few plugs, and if they look good, move on. I really don't think it is your plugs.

i own a repair shop, and i have seen them go dead and not even make it out of the shop, after tuning a car or truck up,but it does happen pretty often ,and its just not with one certain brand either ,all of them will do it and they will replace them, because most of them come with some kind of warranty on them but yes its not un-common at all for this to happen,i own a 4.3 in a 95 model, and it had one just die on it,they,ll do it without warning,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Anything is possible, including faulty spark plugs. They're cheap enough. Buy another set.
