I am going to work on this with my grandchildren,,,an art project/Christmas gifts : Crayola fabric crayons can be used on plain white paper and then ironed onto fabric. I want them to draw with the crayons to their hearts content and then we will chose the best of the lot and iron their drawings onto canvas tote bags and using indelible laundry pens, we will write slogans such as "Save the Earth one bag at a time" or something similar and they can give gifts of their artwork in an eco-friendly format of reusable grocery bags...2 birds with one stone so to speak.

Drawing is always a good way to go. Give them paper, markers and crayons and let them go. Also finger painting is a good way to let them express themselves. If you don't want to let them use finger paint you can let them use pudding. Works just as good and they can lick their fingers! You could also give them paper and children's scissors and let them cut and create. Familyfun.com has lots of great ideas.
