Hey bud,
Tough decision! Im guessing since you own a PS1 and a PS2, you really dig the playstation and its games. So my first thought is to say, save your cash and wait for a PS3 so you can keep all those great playstation games you currently have and play them on the PS3! You WONT be disappointed by waiting and saving (you can always get the $499 PS3 too! Which is underrated. you STILL get the best graphics, and all the features the other version has, but its just a bit smaller hard drive, no wifi or memory card readers).
HOWEVER if that cash is just burning a hole in your pocket, the 360 is a decent choice as well. However with both of these consoles offering KILLER graphics, I hope you have an HDTV to play them on.
If you want your money to stretch, then the Wii is another good option. its cheaper, it got great ratings and its a totally different and new way to play games. The only downside I see from the Wii is the lack of next -gen graphics (which it sounds like you like) and most of its games are very childish, including the Wii channels and sounds.
It all comes down to personal preference and cash. If you like Playstation, then YOU KNOW you'll love the PS3. If you liked the xBox, you'll dig the 360. IF you like Nintendo, you'll like the Wii.
Just remember for those High end graphics, you need an HDTV to get the best out of it, otherwise the graphics will be similar to the Wii's. Do your research, find out what it will all cost (including that first game, an extra controller, and HD cables) and make your choice! They are all solid offerings!
Myself? I'm getting a PS3.... after everyone calms down!!
Happy gaming dude!

The only reason why PS3 is even an issue is b/c it just came out. Of course they do have the best games, but so does the 360. You can note that Nintendo GameCube had nothing great except Mario and Link (as usual). If you aren't into that, I'd go with anything but. Nintendo seems to be geared more towards younger people. I do not or have not played with a PS3, but the 360 is great.......plus......it's made by Microsoft. This is just an opinion as I have not had much experience with any of the 3.

You will not be able to get a PS3 for a year. PSP is great because you can play anywhere with great graphics. Its kinda hard, though cuz when you move the controller the whole screen moves too.
I think XBox 360 should be your choice because its graphics are great. It also has some of the best games on it, like Gears of War, and Dead Rising. It also will be available.

if you like good games for the whole family with great inter action and you arent worried about mind blowing graphics then get the wii the library of entertaining games is endless. if your more interested in a high powered, visually amazing game with great online capabilities then get the xbox 360. i hope this helps have a merry christmas

mate id say u wait a bit and sell some more stuff or ask ur dad for a "advanced allowance" or somethin like that and buy a ps3
i say this for many reasons, with the sony ps3 you ae getting WAY more bang per buck. Trust me on this one, blue ray(wich plays DVDs aswel), Cell procesor specially designed for ps3 and a GPU like no other, you will regret not gettin a ps3 after you see many new titles like motorstorm, lair and many others and regret not having them
ofcourse this is what i would do if i were you, but overall its ur decision.
good luck

360 and get the pro system, its MORE expensive in the long run if you get the core.
because if you wanna play live, you need a HDD and thats $100 and you need to buy an ethernet cable $25 and the pro comes with wireless ($50) and a headset ($25)

Xbox360, at 15 you're too old for the Wii in my opinion. That system and the games seem to be directed towards the younger gamers.

i think the PSP is the best idea. I have one its awesome you can get on the internet, it plays music, games, you can even watch full lenth movies or TV shows. The price of them went down since the PS3s cam out there around $200-$250 now.
